Is Liriano back to his old form?

Sam:Francisco Liriano is back, and hopefully back for good. He is 3-0 in his last three starts since being called up from Triple-A. So far this year, Liriano is 3-3, with a 4.97 ERA. He also has 22 strikeouts. He has looked brilliant in his last three starts, with a 1.45 ERA, 18.2 innings pitched, and fifteen strikeouts, according to the Minnesota Twins official website. In his last game, he pitched seven scoreless innings, with five strikeouts, and allowing only two hits.

Hopefully his dominance over the last three games means that he back for good, and that his arm is perfectly good since having Tommy John surgery. Francisco Liriano has helped lead the Minnesota Twins to a first place tie with the Chicago White Sox. With the season winding down, hopefully Liriano can help lead the Twins to a division lead in the Central division.Andrew: That is the hope, but it may not happen that way. Liriano wasn’t all that solid against the Mariner’s in his last start. He looked good on paper, going seven innings and giving up only two hits and two unearned runs, but he struggled in other areas.

Liriano fell behind 16 of the 25 batters he faced in that start, something that can not continue. He also failed to have good location on his fastball at any time during his start. He only managed to escape without an earned run in that particular start because of how lackluster the Seattle offense is. If he pitches like that against a good team like the Angels he will be ripped to shreds.
