On Sunday, the Packers and Colts will kick off at Lambeau Field. It should be an exciting game between Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are coming off a road win vs the Seahawks, and the Colts are coming off a win against the Ravens.
Last week, Peyton Manning had one of his best games of the season against the Ravens. He threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns. Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne caught Manning’s passes for touchdowns. The Indianapolis defense had three interceptions and two fumbles. The Packers, meanwhile, surged past the Seahawks 27-17. Aaron Rodgers had a very good game, throwing 208 yards, and passed for two touchdowns. Rodgers also ran for twenty-three yards and a score. Ryan Grant had a good game, rushing for 90 yards. The Packers defense forced two interceptions and one fumble.
Green Bay ranks 14th in total offense, meanwhile, Indianapolis ranks 17th in total offense. Green Bay ranks 20th in total defense, and Indianapolis ranks 21st in total defense. This game will sure be close tomorrow, looking at the NFL rankings it makes me think this could be the game of the week.
Aaron Rodgers will have to play efficiently, and be on the mark with his passes. He is a good mobile quarterback, and I think that will help him escape Dwight Freeney. Ryan Grant needs to have a big game to get his season going.
The Colts, meanwhile, need Peyton Manning to play as well as he did against the Ravens. Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison will put pressure on the Packers secondary, and the Packers have to be prepared for it. The Colts are without Joseph Addai, and will turn to Dominic Rhodes.
Both defenses need to play well too. I think whoever forces turnovers, plays a penalty free game, and gets good field position will win the game. Both teams have good front fours, and decent secondaries. Although, the Packers secondary is a bit hurt right now, with Al Harris, and Atari Bigby out.
Now tune in to the game tomorrow, and see who wins this match-up at Lambeau Field.
