NBA Highlights from Saturday night, December 20, 2008:

On Saturday night, there were a few players who really lit up the scoreboard. –Jamal Crawford put up 50 points against Charlotte, and led the Golden State Warriors to victory. –Kobe Bryant put up 41 points against the Magic despite losing 106-103. Jameer Nelson led the Magic with 27 points. –The Indiana Pacers barely beat the 76ers, 95-94. T.J. Ford led the Pacers with 25 points, and Andre Iguodala led Philadelphia with 26 points. –The Houston Rockets handed the Minnesota Timberwolves their twelve straight loss despite Al Jefferson scoring 34 points, and grabbing 13 rebounds. Tracy McGrady led the Rockets with 23 points. –CP3 or Chris Paul scored 34 points and had eight steals. He led the Hornets to a 99-90 victory over the Kings. –Dwayne Wade had another monster night, scoring 43 points to lead the Heat to a victory over the New Jersey Nets. Rookie Brook Lopez led the Nets with 22 points. –Ben Gordon scored 26 points to lead the Bulls to a victory over the Utah Jazz and rookie Derrick Rose scored 24 points. Mehmet Okur led the Jazz with 23 points. –Tony Parker scored 24 points and led the Spurs to a victory over the Toronto Raptors. Jermaine O’Nealled the Raptors in scoring with 24 points. –Richard Jefferson gave the Bucks a victory over the Clippers, and scored 22 points. Al Thornton led the Clippers with 20 points. –The Phoenix Suns outlasted the Denver Nuggets, and Amare Stoudemire scored 27 points, and grabbed 10 rebounds. Steve Nash had 11 assists.

Matt Cassel led the New England Patriots to a 47-7 drubbing of the Arizona Cardinals. Cassel threw for 345 yards and three touchdowns.  A funny highlight of the game was Wes Welker making a snow angel after catching a touchdown from Cassel. Randy Moss caught a 76 yard touchdown from Cassel at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
