As you know, tonight was the Rookie vs Sophomores game, and the rookies won behind John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Blake Griffin. Wall and Cousins teamed up for the first time since their college days at Kentucky, and it still worked out. Imagine if they were still on a team together now? I think they would be pretty good. Not to mention, Griffin, playing in front of his home crowd, he threw down seven dunks. Here is one of them:
Also at the All-Star game, was the celebrity game. Perhaps none bigger was Scottie Pippen, but it actually belonged to Justin Bieber. Pippen blocked Bieber once, and was all smiles. Pippen showed some of moves off from when he was playing with Michael Jordan bac k in the 1990’s.
Bieber kind of stole the show though. He had all the girls focusing on him, and he was named MVP. He had good and bad moments. He showed off some pretty sweet dribbling moves, and nailed a few three pointers. However, he also airballed a three pointer, too.
Well, that’s a wrap, have a great night, and be sure to watch more NBA All-Star weekend festivities tomorrow night as Blake Griffin will seek to “wow” the crowd again in the dunk contest. Also, teammates Paul Pierce and Ray Allen battle it out against each other and Kevin Durant in the three point contest.
