It’s Friiiday! The best day of the week when you’re a college student! To celebrate this day, here is Friday!
First of all, the NBA playoffs start tonight! It’s where amazing happens! Who you guys got to take the NBA Championship tonight? I got the Bulls vs. Lakers in Finals, with the Bulls taking the title. Derrick Rose vs. Kobe Bryant would make a great storyline. All they would need is Gus Johnson calling the series, and it would be epic! Here’s some awesome Gus Johnson calls:
Second, the Minnesota Twins are sinking, and I don’t like it. First it was Nishioka breaking his leg, then they kept drop games, then they couldn’t produce hits or get solid production out of its pitching. Well, last night it came to a whole new level. Joe Mauer is now on the disabled list. Carl Pavano pitched a gem for eight innings, and the Twins had 2-0 lead going into the ninth inning against the Rays at Tropicana Field in Tampa. Then, Joe Nathan blew a save. The game went to the tenth inning, and Danny Valencia sparked the Twins and put them up 3-2 going into the bottom of the tenth inning. Then, Matt Capps came in for a save, and blew it. Capps allowed a two run homer to Johnny Damon, who has now hit walk off home runs with five teams, and the game was over. Disappointing. Frustrated. At a loss of words. Can the Twins pull out of the this early season scare?
Meanwhile, on the positive side, the Colorado Rockies are playing great, and Ubaldo Jimenez is on the disabled list. Troy Tulowitzki has been great. In their last series against the Mets, Tulowitzki he homered in every game, had 10 hits, five runs, eight RBIs, and had four walks to only one strikeout. Pretty incredible, huh! The Rockies have the best record in baseball right now, and are currently, 10-2, and on top of the NL West, and have a four game lead over the Giants.
In other baseball news, check out Coco Crisp’s hair from yesterday.
Crisp tweeted this about it, “Whelp the fro… Has to go… Awww I might give it one more day. Want to win atleast one game with it.”
Well, that’s all for today. I’ll be back Monday. And listen to the SBS Sports Show at http://radiotime.com/station/s_32002/KCFS_945.aspx
We are hoping to have a podcast up later! Have a great weekend!
